Our Future Home - Steeldust Meadows

These are pictures from May 2009. We get over 200 trees from the Shelterbelt program for our north shelterbelt and plant them. Most importantly, we sell our house in Airdrie so can now proceed with building the house. Big stuff going to happen in June...

May 3rd, 2009 - We rent a chipper and grind up a bunch of hay into mulch for planting.

May 8th, 2009 - We expected 200 trees to take some room in the truck, but they all arrived in 1 box and bag. Pretty depressing... We lay them out on plywood and start planting.

May 9th, 2009 - We continue planting and get 77 caraganas in the ground.

May 10th, 2009 - Today we plant Saskatoon bushes and water them.

May 16th, 2009 - We lay soaker hoses through the trees to make watering easier.

May 22nd, 2009 - We finally sell our house in Airdrie so can commence on the house at Steeldust Meadows.
