December 30th - New Years Eve. We get the joists up on the lean-to.

December 28th - I'm working on purlins on the north wall and we start putting up the lean-to header.

December 26th - Boxing Day. Jai and Laura come out and help us with the last truss.

December 16th - Major day... Trusses are going up. Both daughters and their husbands are coming to help. We get the first truss up on the east wall no problem but then have to go into town to pick up a 12' step ladder to support the rest in the middle. We work out quite the system and get it all done in a day.

December 10th - We get another visitor. The neighbour's un-neutered male border collie has taken a shine to our Chicago. We've nicknamed him "Billie Bob". I'm cutting notches in the top of the posts and doing a little cleanup with a hand saw. We get the south tops done and I take a break on the trusses.

December 9th - Finally we have real power. We get our first wall top done and Tracy gets as high on a ladder as she ever has before.
